The Swiss Healthcare range includes compounds that are no longer licensed for use in the UK, and one that was withdrawn from the entire European market on safety grounds. That is not a reason to panic, but it is a reason to know what you are looking at. The most important is sibutramine, the dearest line in the range at £150.
Sibutramine — withdrawn in 2010
Sibutramine was a prescription weight-loss drug marketed as Reductil. It was suspended across the UK and EU in January 2010, and withdrawn in the US the same year, after the SCOUT trial found a significantly increased rate of non-fatal heart attack and stroke in patients taking it.
The regulators’ conclusion was that the modest weight loss did not justify the cardiovascular risk. That judgement has not been revisited, and sibutramine has not returned to the licensed market.
It still circulates, and it turns up as an undeclared adulterant in products sold as herbal slimming aids — which is a separate and worse problem, because people take it without knowing. Here it is at least labelled.
If weight loss is the goal, the licensed semaglutide and tirzepatide compounds have a vastly better-characterised safety profile and considerably larger effect. See semaglutide vs Ozempic.
Salbutamol — legal, but restricted in sport
Salbutamol (£28, the cheapest line) is a standard asthma reliever and entirely legitimate as a medicine. In sport it is a different matter: it is permitted by inhalation up to a specified maximum over 24 hours, and a urinary concentration above the threshold is treated as an adverse finding unless you can demonstrate it resulted from permitted therapeutic use.
Oral salbutamol is not covered by that allowance. If you are tested and using this route, you are exposed.
The thyroid combination
The range includes a combined liothyronine and levothyroxine tablet (T3 + T4). Thyroid hormones in a non-hypothyroid person accelerate metabolic rate and are used for that reason, but the effect is not selective for fat — muscle is lost alongside it, and the suppression of your own thyroid axis takes time to recover.
This is a category where blood work is not optional. TSH, T3 and T4 before and during tell you what is actually happening; nothing else does.
The rest of the range
Thirty-one lines, all in stock, £28–£150, midpoint £59. Beyond the above it covers the conventional ground — testosterone across several esters, nandrolone, trenbolone, methenolone, stanozolol, clenbuterol and methyltestosterone. The catalogue skews to fat loss and cutting more than most brands here.
On the name
A country in a brand name is a marketing choice, not a certification. It does not indicate where manufacturing happens, and it carries no regulatory weight. Judge the product by batch verification and analysis, not by the word on the label — see how to check a brand is genuine.
Frequently asked questions
Why is sibutramine still available if it was withdrawn?
Withdrawal removed its marketing authorisation in regulated markets; it did not stop manufacture elsewhere. The 2010 cardiovascular findings that prompted the withdrawal have not been overturned.
Is salbutamol allowed in competition?
By inhaler, within a specified daily maximum, yes. Above the urinary threshold it is an adverse finding unless justified, and the oral route is not covered by the inhaled allowance.
Does “Swiss” mean the products are made in Switzerland?
It is a brand name. Treat it as such — no country name on a label proves anything about manufacturing standards.
